<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and systems for controlling communication of data in an ultrasound system. <P>SOLUTION: The methods and systems for controlling communication of data in the ultrasound system are provided. One method (50) includes a step (52) of receiving ultrasound data from a plurality of channels of an ultrasound probe in the ultrasound system and a step (54) of digitally demodulating the received ultrasound data such that a data transfer rate of the digitally demodulated ultrasound data is lower than that of the received ultrasound data.
