<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can improve user's convenience, and a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device 100 comprises transmission/reception means for transmitting and receiving data to/from an external device 500 via network, device name storage means for storing a device name of the electronic device, operation signal reception means for receiving an operation signal corresponding to an operational input, first device name setting means for setting a device name to the device name storage means based on the operation signal, and second device name setting means for receiving a device name from the external device 500 by the transmission/reception means and setting the received device name to the device name storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
