<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the easy assembling of a deck board. <P>SOLUTION: The deck board for luggage compartments pivotally supports the opposite edge parts 24a, 25a of two boards 24, 25 respectively, while being equipped with: a hinge 26 which, with respect to the one board 25, enables the other board 24 to relatively rotate as in relative rotations C, D; a coil type spring 28 that resiliently biases the other board 24 so that it rotates in one direction as in the rotation C; and a connection bracket 37 that is mounted on the opposite edge part 25a of the one board 25 while linking this opposite edge part 25a to a vehicle body 2 side. Under a situation wherein both the boards 24, 25 are arranged in a parallel manner in an approximately horizontal direction by way of the relative rotations C, D of both the boards 24, 25, a first space 46 is formed between both the opposite edge parts 24a, 25a, while in addition, a second space 47 is formed between both the opposite edge parts 24a, 25a and the portion of the connection bracket 37 that faces the preceding edge parts, the second space 47 communicating mutually with the first space 46.
