<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved seal structure for a heat exchanger in which a variation in interval between flange surfaces owing to a thermal expansion difference between devices along with a temperature change is suppressed or resolved and a variation in interval between flange surfaces which is caused by a flange rotation is suppressed or resolved, to eliminate leakage. <P>SOLUTION: In the seal structure for a heat exchanger, a main container Y1 and a tube plate Y2 are clamped and connected with a seal ring R in between. An annular concave slot m in which the seal ring R is inserted is formed at the tube plate Y2, and an annular ridge j in which the annular concave slot m can be inserted is formed at a flange f of the main container Y1. The seal ring R is wound spirally by a plurality of times, while a metal band whose cross section is wave-like and a band-like expanded graphite are overlapped each other, constituting a spiral part. In an assembled state in which the flange f and the tube plate Y2 are clamped and connected, a spacer L is interposed between the flange f and the tube plate Y2 so that the seal ring R inserted into the annular concave slot m is compressed by a predetermined amount by the annular ridge j. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
