<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an ultrasonic irradiation apparatus which does not require a fixing tool, because the fixing tool is larger than the ultrasonic probe and is an obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic irradiation apparatus includes an ultrasonic probe for irradiating a living body with ultrasonic waves, an ultrasonic irradiation apparatus body for supplying drive signals to the ultrasonic probe, and an ultrasonic coupler for sticking the ultrasonic probe to the living body and to efficiently propagate the ultrasonic waves to the living body. The ultrasonic coupler forms a mixture of a crosslinked acrylic resin, polyhydric alcohol, electrolyte neutral salt, purified water, and a stabilizer into a circular sheet shape.
