The invention relates to a mobile telephone (12), including: a first buffer memory (32) for storing a data file, the data file being in a first format and comprising a plurality of data packets; a means (34) for converting the file stored in the first buffer memory, from the first format into a second format, the conversion means (34) being connected at the output of the first buffer memory (32); a second buffer memory (36) connected at the output of the conversion means (34) and capable of storing the converted file in the second format; and a server (18) for streaming data to a remote client device (14) according to a predetermined network protocol. The streaming server (18) is connectable to the remote client device (14) via a data link (16), and is capable of receiving, from the remote client device (14), a data dissemination request. The streaming server (18) comprises a means (44) for controlling the conversion means (34), the control means (44) being capable of transmitting, to the conversion means (34), a signal for controlling the conversion of a respective packet of the file.
