The device (10) has a housing (12) comprising an inlet for communicating with an air inlet of a combustion engine. A membrane is arranged between the inlet and a sound aperture and transmits a sound spectrum of pressure pulsation in the air inlet of the engine. A hollow cylindrical locking collar presses a front side edge against the membrane and extends on the membrane and is supported directly or indirectly at an opposite side of the housing, where height of the collar is predetermined for adjusting acoustic behavior of the device.
