The vehicle has an influencing device (5) for adjusting a mechanical actuating resistance at a pedal (2). The influencing device adjusts the resistance corresponding to weight of a foot resting on the pedal at a pressure point in a comfort position of the pedal when a velocity control system (7) is activated for limiting or stopping movement of the pedal. The control system is switchable during movement of the pedal up to the pressure point. A control element (8) i.e. comfort function sensor, is coupled with the influencing device such that setting of the pressure point is switched on and off. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a vehicle.
