DEVICE AND METHOD FOR POWER GENERATION AND LIGHT EMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to efficiently notify detection results by a sensor.

SOLUTION: Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) 112 of a power-generating and light-emitting tile 10 generate electricity with transmitted light which transmits a cover layer 111 such as sunlight. The power obtained by power generation of the DSSCs 112 is stored in a storage section 114 arranged at a lower side of the DSSCs 112. Each LED 113 arranged at the lower side of each DSSC 112 emits light under the DSSC 112 by using the power stored in the storage section 114. A circuit 115 monitors electromotive force of the DSSCs 112, and makes the LEDs 113 emit light at the time of sensing of reduction of such electromotive force. Existence of a pedestrian (a person) is notified to the circumference with light emission of the LEDs 113. The power-generating and light-emitting tile can be applied to a power-generating and light-emitting device.
