<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate uncomfortable feeling of a driver by preventing interference between control for inhibiting creep and parking assist control when a predetermined condition is satisfied. <P>SOLUTION: The control device of a vehicle is so structured that when the predetermined condition is satisfied, a belt type continuously variable transmission 13 is transitioned from an in-gear stat to a neutral state to inhibit creep. A parking assist device assists steering operation of the driver when the driver parks the vehicle while the vehicle creeps. During operation of the parking assist device, even when the predetermined condition is satisfied, an electronic control unit maintains the belt type continuously variable transmission 13 in the in-gear state to enable the vehicle creep without inhibiting the creep by transitioning the belt type continuously variable transmission 13 from the in-gear state to the neutral state. Therefore, the interference between the creep inhibiting control and the parking assist control is prevented and the uncomfortable feeling of the driver can be eliminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
