<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved process for producing toner with a low coarse content, with reduced numbers of stages and materials and a shorter cycle time. <P>SOLUTION: The process of producing toner includes steps of: forming a primary slurry by bringing at least one kind of resin into contact with at least one surfactant, at least one defoamer, and an optional wax and an optional colorant; forming aggregated particles by aggregating at least the one resin with an aggregating agent; forming toner particles by coalescing the aggregated particles; and recovering the toner particles, wherein the coalescence cycle time is from 1 minute to 2 hours. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
