<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for restraining power consumption in identifying positions by the use of radio signals received from satellites in the Global Positioning System (GPS). <P>SOLUTION: A demodulator 19 for demodulating transmitted signals from GPS includes: a replica signal generating circuit 192, a correlation processing unit 193, a receiver processor 194 and a navigation processor 195. After saving of control parameters used during satellite tracking by the receiver processor 194 as control data 122, power supply to the demodulator 19 is stopped to suppress power consumption by the demodulator 19 and, when power supply to the demodulator 19 is resumed, control parameters at the time of successful satellite tracking (the control data 122) are read out to resume satellite re-capturing according to the read-out control parameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
