<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a mast by suppressing an increase in the number of components even if a ladder member is mounted to the mast. <P>SOLUTION: This stacker crane 3 includes a traveling carriage 22, the mast 25, a platform 27, and a sliding fork 29 as a transfer device. The mast 25 is a truss structure which is erected on the traveling carriage 22. The mast 25 has a plurality of column members 40, a plurality of diagonal members 42, a plurality of first horizontal members 44, and a plurality of second horizontal members 46. The plurality of column members 40 have guides 40b for guiding the platform 27. The plurality of diagonal members 42 connect the plurality of column members 40 to one another. The first horizontal members 44 are disposed at connection positions between the column members 40 and the diagonal members 42.
