<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing foreign matters in seawater, capable of removing foreign matters that adhere to an element even when a large amount of foreign matters with a light specific gravity enter therein. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for removing foreign matters in seawater includes: a strainer container 1 having a cylindrical shape and provided with an inlet pipe 4 for introducing seawater or washing water fed from a pump 11, an outlet pipe 5 for leading permeated water out, a blow pipe 6 for discharging the foreign matters, and a drainpipe 7 for draining the seawater or washing water inside; a partition 2 which partitions an upper space and a lower space of the strainer container 1 and has an opening 2a formed at the center; the cylindrical element 3 which is provided in the upper space of the strainer container 1 and on which two or more holes are formed; a backwashing pump 20 connected with the outlet pipe 5 and the drainpipe 7; and a controller 9 for controlling the stoppage and operation of the pumps 11 and 12, and the opening of an inlet valve 10, an outlet valve 12, a blowdown valve 13, a drain valve 14, and a gas-venting valve 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
