<p>In order to prevent or suppress the generation of uneven brightness in a lighting device the disclosed backlight device (24) is provided with: LED light sources (28) wherein the light in the peak light-emission intensity has a light distribution which faces in a direction that is oblique relative to the frontal direction; a chassis (22) which houses the LED light sources (28), and which is open toward the light emission side of the LED light sources (28); a reflection member (26) which has a plurality of inclined surfaces, and which directs the light from the LED light sources (28) toward the open side of the chassis (22) by means of the inclined surfaces; a size enlargement diffusion plate (20), which is arranged in the open side of the chassis (22), and wherein a plurality of lenses are arranged in parallel along the direction parallel to the arrangement surface of the LED light sources (28); and a lens sheet (19), which is arranged on the opposite side of the size enlargement diffusion plate (20) to the side which faces the LED light sources (28), and which is provided with a plurality of lenses which are in parallel along the direction which is orthogonal to the direction in which the lenses of the size enlargement diffusion plate (20) are lined up, which is the direction parallel to the arrangement surface of the LED light sources (28).</p> |
