<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the recording sensitivity in an optical information recording medium by using photon absorption reaction. <P>SOLUTION: An optical information recording medium includes a recording layer 12 having multiphoton absorption compound and single photon absorption compound, and a supporter (base layer 11) for supporting the recording layer 12. As the multiphoton absorption compound absorbs multiphoton and the single photon compound absorbs single photon, bubble is formed. The modulation performed by the fact whether or not the bubble exists causes information to be recorded.
