<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary kiln that can efficiently recover metal from an object to be treated and can improve a recovery rate thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An electric furnace 6 furthermore separates metal from a molten material of an object to be treated W by heating treatment using electric power and recovers metal included in a slag S as a molten material of the object to be treated W. The electric furnace 6 is connected with a rotary kiln 2 through a communication chute 4, so that, after the object to be treated W is burnt in the rotary kiln 2 and is changed into a slag S, it is immediately put into the electric furnace 6 to efficiently recover metal therefrom. Furthermore, heat produced by combustion treatment in the rotary kiln 2 can be utilized for heating treatment in the electric furnace 6, thereby improving energy efficiency. In addition, a reductant is supplied from a coke supply apparatus 22A to cause a reduction reaction of metal oxide included in the slag S within the electric furnace 6 so as to recover much more metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
