PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add and composite a plurality of frame images photographed consecutively.

SOLUTION: A camera 1 comprises: imaging means for acquiring images by taking a subject image: selection means for selecting one image from a plurality of images taken consecutively by the imaging means as a reference image; calculation means for calculating position shift amounts between the reference image selected by the selection means and each of the plurality of images other than the reference image in the plurality of images taken consecutively by the imaging means; and generation means for generating composite images by positioning and then compositing images whose position shift amounts calculated by the calculation means are less than a predetermined shift amount. The selection means selects the reference image to have more images whose position shift amounts are less than the predetermined shift amount.
