<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of processing delay of a command to be instantly processed concerning serial communication by way of a LAN network. <P>SOLUTION: A serial device server is connected to a LAN network via a TCP/IP part and connected to a serial apparatus via a serial control part. Two communication connections for command transmission/reception and for data transmission/reception are prepared between the serial device server and a communication partner (via the LAN network).
