<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color imaging technology with which light availability can be enhanced without increasing the number of light sensitive cells significantly, and color reproducibility can be enhanced as compared with prior art. <P>SOLUTION: A solid state image sensor 10 comprises a light sensitive cell array including multiple light sensitive cells, and a spectral element array 100 including multiple spectral elements. The light sensitive cell array is constituted of multiple unit blocks 40, each having four light sensitive cells 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d. The spectral element array 100 causes the light obtained by adding the light (C2) of a second color component to the incident light (W) from which the light (C1) of a first color component is removed to enter the first light sensitive cell 2a, causes the light obtained by adding the light (C1) of the first color component to the incident light (W) from which the light (C2) of the second color component is removed to enter the second light sensitive cell 2b, causes the light obtained by removing the first and second color components (C1+C2) from the incident light (W) to enter the third light sensitive cell 2c, and causes the light obtained by adding the first and second color components (C1+C2) to the incident light (W) to enter the fourth light sensitive cell 2d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
