<p>The invention relates to a device (1) with extrinsic optical fibre for measuring a physical parameter comprising: - a light source (10), of central wavelength ?, - an optical fibre (13), - a means (15) of detecting an interferometric signal, said interferometric signal comprising the information about the physical parameter to be determined, - means (17) for modulating a signal emitted by the light source, - means (18) for calculating the physical parameter on the basis of the interferometric signal measured by the detecting means (15). According to the invention, the modulated signal from the light source (10) comprises an alternating component comprising a double frequency modulation generated by the modulating means. The main application of this device is the measurement of displacement of a target (2).</p> |
