<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretensioner mechanism having a closing member which reliably connects one and the other sides of a moving member when the moving member is moved to the one side. <P>SOLUTION: In the pretensioner mechanism 36, when the piston 88 is moved, a cap pin 82 in a communication hole 98 of the piston 88 closes the communication hole 98 when a gas pressure acts on the cap pin 82. When a flange 92 of the piston 88 comes in contact with a piston stopper 70, the cap pin 82 is brought into contact with the piston stopper 70 and displaced relative to the piston 88 to open the communication hole 98. When the piston 88 is moved, the cap pin 82 closes the communication hole 98 due to the gas pressure. When the flange 92 of the piston 88 comes in contact with the piston stopper 70, the cap pin 82 is brought into contact with the piston stopper 70 and can be surely displaced relative to the piston 88.
