<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker that facilitates visual recognition of the completion of heating an object to be heated. <P>SOLUTION: The cooker includes a control unit 200 for controlling display on a color liquid crystal panel. The control unit 200 is configured to make the brightness of the characters and numerals for indicating information that the object to be heated is being heated brighter than that of the background thereof during a heating operation, while making the brightness of the background brighter than that of the characters and numerals for indicating information concerning the heating of the object to be heated after the completion of the heating.
