PURPOSE: A composition containing egg albumin for preventing and treating allergic diseases is provided to prevent development of the allergic diseases into chronic diseases. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating allergic diseases contains egg albumin(OVA) as an active ingredient. The egg albumin prevents or treats allergic diseases through oral tolerance. A method for treating allergic diseases comprises oral administration of egg albumin(OVA) to mammal except for human in 0.1-10 mg for 3-10 days.
