PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase which overcomes the demerits of well-known FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase, has sufficient reactivity over a wide temperature range, and has excellent substrate specificity.

SOLUTION: There is disclosed a modified FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase which has more improved temperature dependency than that of an FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase before modification and reduced activity on xylose by modifying FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase at a genetic level.
