<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold and a method of press-bonding capable of preventing wire signal conductors from protruding out of both ends of a terminal forming piece when caulking the wire signal conductors on the terminal forming piece so that the wire signal conductors are enclosed. <P>SOLUTION: An upper mold 18 includes a protrusion preventing projection 17 projecting toward signal conductors 14 on a terminal forming piece 12 placed on a lower mold 19, and inner walls 18a inside the mold arranged at both sides of the protrusion preventing projection 17 to bend the terminal forming piece 12. When the upper mold 18 and the lower mold 19 press-bond the terminal forming piece 12 to the signal conductors 14, the protrusion preventing projection 17 pressurizes the signal conductors 14 toward lower direction and the inner walls 18a inside the mold bend the terminal forming piece 12 so that the both ends of the terminal forming piece 12 move closer to the protrusion preventing projection 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
