摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing technique with general constitution used in decoding processing, by which noise reduction processing and image quality correction can be performed.

SOLUTION: A video processor counts the number of blocks in which a video quantization parameter exceeds the prescribed threshold value, and calculates the amount of noise in the video based on the count result. The video processor also adjusts the amount for reducing the noise according to the calculated noise amount.
