<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal decomposition apparatus which is designed to efficiently and thermally decompose an organic raw material, and is easily operated with high safety. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal decomposition apparatus HK for converting the raw material X into a combustible gas Yg includes: a body part K of a horizontal cylindrical shape; a raw material feeding part I for feeding the raw material X into the body part K; a gas lead-out part OG for delivering the combustible gas Yg from the body part K; and a solid residue discharging part Os. Furthermore, the body part K is provided with a thermal decomposition space P for thermally decomposing the raw material X into a gas and a solid; a heating medium-heating space H for heating the solid with a high-temperature gas; a solid heating medium-circulating part C which is located between the P and H, and circulates and moves the solid between the P and H; and a solid heating medium-circulating part D which is provided between the P and C, composes a relay space T between the D and C, circulates and moves the solid, and serves as a means for preventing the mixing of an oxygen-containing gas so as to prevent the mixing of the gases in the P and H. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
