<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier device capable of stably and smoothly conveying a conveyance object, and heat treatment equipment capable of improving thermal efficiency when heating the pipe-like or rod-like conveyance object by using the carrier device. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier device performs first position control for supporting the conveyance object from a lower section with respect to each of three adjacently-disposed carrier rollers 1 when the conveyance object is conveyed in the direction of the juxtaposition of the axial centers of the three or more carrier rollers 1, second position control for guiding the conveyance object to the center side in the upper conveyance-direction of the supporting carrier roller, and third position control for receiving the conveyance object and guiding the conveyance object to a downstream side in the conveyance-direction.
