The portable terminal device of the present invention has first and second housings (1 and 2) and a 2-axis hinge (3) coupling the first and second housings (1 and 2). The portable terminal device, in addition, has a speaker (60) provided within the first housing (1) or within the 2-axis hinge (3), a sound-emitting hole (4), a waveguide (5) for guiding sound waves to the sound-emitting hole (4), and a display device (6) provided upon the second housing (2). The display screen (6a) of the display device (6), and the sound-emitting hole (4), are arranged in the second housing (2) upon a surface (2a) which changes orientation by the second housing (2) rotating around a second axis.
