PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to deform a selected input window which is displayed on a web browser and display additional information around the selected input window. CONSTITUTION: When a web browser which includes one or more input windows are displayed on a display unit(151), an input window of a first length is selected among one or more input windows through a user input unit(130). If a second length string which is longer than the first length is inputted on the selected input window, a control unit(180) enlarges the selected input window or display the string around the selected input window.
