<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal device capable of removing foreign matter which is accumulated in a stopper and restricts rotation of a pedal arm. <P>SOLUTION: A pedal arm 20 rotatably supported by a housing 10 mountable to a vehicle is operated by stepping action of an operator. A spring energizes the pedal arm 20 in a direction opposite to the stepping direction. A stopper 60 having an abutment surface 61 capable of abutting on an opening edge 171 provided in an opening of the housing 10 in which the pedal arm 20 is inserted restricts rotation in a direction opposite to the stepping direction of the pedal arm 20. The stopper 60 has grooves 62, and the grooves 62 are inclined downward from the abutment surface 61 in a gravity direction, when the housing 10 is mounted to a vehicle and when the abutment surface 61 abuts on the opening edge 171. Thus, foreign matter such as sand adhered on the abutment surface 61 of the stopper 60 falls from the abutment surface 61 to the grooves 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
