<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure of a railway vehicle capable of improving a riding comfort by enhancing flexural rigidity, and also reducing weight. <P>SOLUTION: A side body structure 11A has an outer surface plate 11Aa, an inner surface plate 11Ab, and a web part 11Ac; and has a double-skin structure, made of aluminum alloy, in which the outer surface plate 11Aa and the inner surface plate 11Ab are connected by the web part 11Ac. A side window opening 13 includes: a large window opening 13A which has a roughly rectangular shape long in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a small window opening 13B which has a length shorter in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle than the large window opening 13A. A plurality of the large window openings 13A are arranged in the center portion in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle; and the small window opening 13B is arranged between the large window opening 13A and entrance/exit opening parts 12A, 12B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
