A transformation centre (6) comprises high-voltage cells (1), a low-voltage panel (3) and a transformer (2) that are electrically interconnected on the top cover (5) of the transformer (2) by means of a direct shielded unipolar connection. The high-voltage electric connection (4) is implemented by a connection device (8) which, in combination with a control or protection device (10), makes it possible to protect in an integral and safe manner both persons and goods against possible defects in the transformation centre (6), limiting such defects and preventing disturbances of the high-voltage and low-voltage grid.
