Disclosed is a light irradiation device such that it is possible to efficiently cool the interior of a device. Also disclosed is a printing device equipped with the aforementioned light irradiation device. Specifically disclosed is a light irradiation device (1) which is provided with an LED substrate (6), one surface of which is mounted with a light-emitting diode (30), a cooling means (36) for cooling the light-emitting diode (30) and the LED substrate (6), a plurality of heat dissipating members (32) disposed on the other surface of the LED substrate (6) at an interval, and a partitioning member (4) disposed facing the aforementioned other surface of the LED substrate (6), wherein one end of the plurality of heat dissipating members (32) is disposed on the LED substrate (6) and the other end of the plurality of heat dissipating members (32) come into contact with the partitioning member (4), and the cooling means (36) is provided with a plurality of small duct sections configured by means of the neighboring heat dissipating members (32), the LED substrate (6) and the partitioning member (4), and an air flow generating means (31) for generating air flow within the plurality of small duct sections (35).
