PURPOSE: A moving body motion detection apparatus and method are provided to detect the movement of a moving material. CONSTITUTION: A moving body motion detection apparatus comprises a sensor unit(100), a current supply unit(110), a current measurement area(120), a detection unit(130) and a determining unit(140). The sensor unit comprises the coil array, in which a plurality of coils is separated in the predetermined distance. The current supply unit supplies the initial current to a plurality of coils. The current supply unit forms the magnetic field in the coil array. The current measurement area measures the current flowing in a plurality of coils according to the time and respectively stores the current along the coil.
