PURPOSE: A voice activity detection method and apparatus thereof are provided to improve the quality of a voice signal by eliminating noise signal from an input signal. CONSTITUTION: A window unit(110) separates an input signal in a frame unit. The window unit respectively transmits the separated frame signal to a classification module(120) and a voice detection module(130). The classification module extracts feature from the frame signal. In case the frame signal is a voice signal, the voice detection module outputs the frame signal as an output signal. In case the frame signal is not the voice signal, the voice detection module does not output the frame signal.
