<p>A biological reactor (10) of the adhering or fixed biomass type, used in the operations for depurating industrial and/or civil liquid waste and/or in all applications wherein the culture of microorganisms is required for microbiological processes suitable for preparing chemical and pharmaceutical substances, in an aerobic or anaerobic environment, comprising a biological contactor (12) rotating relative to a horizontal axis (13), an open or closed tank or basin (14) containing a nourishing solution or waste water wherein said container is partly or completely immersed, one or more diffusers (24) arranged on the bottom of the basin and suitable for blowing air or gas generated by a compressor (26), a plurality of angular shaped sectors arranged within the contactor (12) and interacting with means suitable for increasing the exchange surface between microorganisms, gas and liquid.</p> |
