PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can correct the deviation of the detected position of image parts due to lens distortion without requiring strict alignment of the center of a lens and the center of an imaging element. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus has lens distortion correction value calculation means for applying, about an image part 300a in a predetermined image area set to include a center Ic of an image captured by a camera, a distance R0 of the image part 300a from Ic to a linear expression approximating a correlation between the distance from the center of the predetermined image area and the degree of lens distortion, to calculate a lens distortion correction value DR0 for correcting the deviation of the image part 300a from the actual position thereof due to camera lens distortion, a data holding means holding data on pan and pitch angles for correcting the deviation of the lens center of the camera from the imaging element center of the camera, and image position correction means for correcting the position of the image part 300a with the lens distortion correction value DR0 and pan and pitch angles.
