Tripod stands.-A telescopic leg for a tripod stand consists of two similar members 15, pivoted to a boss 14 of the stand head, and a lower member 21 slidably and reversibly arranged in opposed tapered grooves formed in the lower ends of member 15. The member 21 is clamped in position by a band 24 and screw 25 and is provided with a metal point 22 at one end and a rubber button 23 at its other end. The upper ends of the members 15, which are preferably made of wood, are formed as apertured ears, which may be reinforced by wooden inserts 20 to prevent splitting, to receive screwed pins 16 extending from the boss 14. The member 21 is preferably a metal tube of round or square section. |
