<p>PURPOSE: A chiller and an operation method thereof are provided to prevent a surging phenomenon generated during the operation of the chiller. CONSTITUTION: A chiller comprises a turbo compressor(2), a shell tube type condenser, an expansion device(8), a shell tube type evaporator, a cold water branch flow path(90), and a cold water control valve(92). The shell tube type condenser condenses coolant compacted in the turbo compressor. The expansion device expands the condensed coolant. The shell tube type evaporator evaporates the expanded coolant. The cold water control valve is installed in the cold water branch flow path and adjusts cold water.</p> |
