<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin tube for preventing the connection of a joint member to the resin tube which should not be connected thereto by mistake, and to provide a method of connecting the joint member to the tube. <P>SOLUTION: The resin tube 10 having an end formed as a straight tubular portion 20 comprises a first protruded peripheral strip 21 formed on the outer periphery, an intersecting protruded strip 23 intersecting with the first protruded peripheral strip 21, and a second protruded peripheral strip 25. Protruded strips 21, 23, 25 are adapted to protruded strip receiving recessed portions 74, respectively, formed at the inner periphery of a tub holding tool 71 so that the straight tubular portion 20 of the resin tube 10 is held by the tube holding tool 71. In this state, a connection tube 32 of the joint member 30 held by a joint holding tool 77 is pressed into the end of the resin tube 10.
