Electrodes.-Parts of accumulators such as electrodes and their connections &c. are made from hard lead which has been worked through an extrusion press. Electrode parts are made by twisting or pushing a hard lead wire or rod into a hollow body or tube, both members being made by extrusion. The tubes may be made by extrusion of an alloy of lead and an alkali or alkaline earth metal, the latter being subsequently removed. Specifications 10191/01 and 25265/04 are referred to. |
