CLAMPING DEVICE, PARTICULARLY FOR OPERATING CENTRES

A clamping device (1) for horizontal operating centres consists of a support frame (2) which forms a bearing structure in a form of a turret on which eight self-centring pneumo-hydraulic automatic clamps (3) are located. The clamps (3) are mobile between a work position in which they retain a work-piece and a rest position in which an independent loading/unloading of the work-piece is enabled via at least a first pressurised line (5) for supplying each movement system (4) of the clamp (3) with a pressurised oil, enabling a displacement from the rest position to the work position and a second line (6) of pressurised air for commanding each movement system (4), bringing the clamp (3) from the work position to the rest position.
