An illuminator has a reflecting body 1, a lens (3, fig 3), at least one heat pipe 21 and a light source 22 assembled on an aluminium base 2. A slot 15 is provided in the reflector 1. The aluminium base 2 is able to move up and down relative to the reflector 1 so that the light source 22 can move toward or away from the lens 3. In doing this the heat pipe 21 moves along the slot 15. |
