The drive (1) has a disk-shaped armature (5) arranged between two stators (4), where the drive is formed as a permanently excited transverse flow motor arranged in a duplex manner. The armature has permanent magnets (15) at whose external circumference a propeller wing (14) of a tail rotor (12) of a helicopter is arranged, where the magnets are arranged in layers. The stators have a circular winding system (8) that is cooled using oil, and a common radial bearing and a common axial bearing are provided in the drive.
