The present invention relates to a method for cooling a container (3) by means of a refrigerating gas, including the steps of: placing the container inside an unsealed chamber (2); and injecting an amount of liquefied refrigerant gas into the chamber at a total flow rate of less than 200 ml per minute. The invention also relates to a device enabling the implementation of said method.
