The invention can be used for repairing or hardening worn-out parts by means of electric-arc deposit or for producing new parts working in conditions of variable dynamic forces associated with increased wear and corrosion. The inventive method consists in producing a coating by electric-arc depositing on at least one section of the part by means of a consumable electrode in such a way that at least one layer is formed. Said layer is formed from predetermined, alternating in at least one direction areas and consists of metals exhibiting different linear expansion factors. At least one area of the layer contains a metal whose linear expansion factor is less than the linear expansion factor of the part base metal. The layer is produced by welding up pre-embodied slots or by applying beads. Said invention makes it possible to increase the performance characteristics of parts by creating pre-designed favourable residual stress fields in a part. |
