The present invention relates to morpholine derivatives of hydroxylated diphenyl compounds, processes for preparing them and pharmaceutical preparations containing them. The morpholine derivatives of hydroxylated diphenyl compounds of this invention exhibit enhanced antioxidant, lipid lowering and anti-inflammatory action and can be used for the prevention and treatment of diseases associated with oxidative stress, inflammation or dyslipidemia, or any combination of these phenomena. More specifically, the compounds of the present invention are useful for the treatment and prevention of a disease condition related to dyslipidemia, oxidative stress, inflammation or a combination thereof, such as atherosclerosis, diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer`s disease, asthma, Parkinson`s disease, stroke, arrhythmias, hypertension, ischemia, hart failure, thromboembolism, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, renitis, colitis, cancer, ulcer, Lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, depression, schizophrenia, infective diseases and septic shock. |
