PURPOSE: An advertisement providing system and a method thereof based on the content of multimedia contents are provided to offer contents inserting a corresponding advertisement to a user when contents set as an advertising target by an advertiser and contents provided to a user are the same. CONSTITUTION: An advertisement standard registration unit(21) receives the advertisement standards of desired contents from an advertiser. A finger print extractor(22) extracts the first fingerprint of contents corresponding to the advertisement standards. The first fingerprint extractor performs the indexing and storage of the first fingerprint. A second fingerprint extractor(23) extracts the second fingerprint of contents offered to a user. The second fingerprint extractor performs the indexing and storage of the second fingerprint. In case the first fingerprint and the second fingerprint accord, an advertisement file inserting unit(24) inserts an advertisement file into the contents. A contents transmitting unit(25) transmits the contents. |
